As reference engineering of the French multinational Decathlon, GMD Solutions in collaboration with Arellano Arquitectos, developed all the technical projects and subsequent Project Management for the implementation of the new DECATHLON Dos Hermanas store. The store is located at WAY Shopping Center, which opened its doors on October 7, 2020, and is set to become one of the most important centers of the Sevillian town of Dos Hermanas.

The store has a total of 1,500 square meters divided between its salesroom (1,300 m2) and toilets, technical and staff rooms. For its part, the Shopping Center of which it forms part has more than 30 establishments spread over more than 40,000 square meters, including stores such as JYSK, Leroy Merlin, Sakito, and Carter Cash. It also has a restaurant area with franchises such as Muerde La Pasta, KFC, TGB or 100 Montaditos and more than 2,000 parking spaces between its surface and underground parking lot.

Among the projects and installations planned in this establishment by GMD Solutions are the following:

• Electrical and lighting installation, with a LED mesh throughout the salesroom. The Malaga company SOMAINS was in charge of executing it.
• Air conditioning installation consists of two Rooftop units located on the roof of the shopping center, split units for air conditioning of rooms and technical rooms, and an air renewal system with recovery. One of Decathlon’s regular companies, TH Mantenimiento, was in charge of the execution of the works.
• Fire protection installation with point detection, fire hydrants, and fire extinguishers, carried out by PEFIPRESA.
• Closed-circuit television (CCTV) and intrusion installation entirely executed by the multinational company Chubb Parsi.

GMD Solutions was also in charge of coordinating the complete signage of the establishment with the company Project Sign. And it also worked on the installation of the store staff rooms and technical rooms.

With this store, GMD Solutions continues a relationship of more than seven years with one of our main clients in the retail world: Decathlon Spain. 

Dos Hermanas is for our team the fifteenth store of new implantation. Among these projects, we added changes of implementation in more than fifteen stores, renovations of the air conditioning systems in more than twenty stores, integral reforms such as those of the CLA Madrid Sur warehouse, the Getafe store, and the Salamanca store, or extensions and reductions such as those of Decathlon Santiago de Compostela or Decathlon Ferrol.
