On November 27, 2018, the largest restaurant in Spain opened its doors in the town of Alcorcón in Madrid.
The Bálamo Restaurant has more than 3,000m2 of facilities divided into different areas:
- Cafeteria area with more than 7 meters of free height and a 60m2 screen where you can enjoy and watch all the sports from high tables.
- Restaurant and reserved area with the largest natural vertical garden in Europe inside an establishment, occupying an area of 330m2 on the east wall of the restaurant.
- Open area for smokers where you can find two 5-meter high trees among its numerous high tables.
- A drinking area located on a large mezzanine where you can enjoy all kinds of entertainment shows.
- A kitchen of more than 400m2.
- Three-story wine cellar and take away area.
- Playroom for the little ones with all the necessary equipment.
- Underground parking of more than 5.000m2 with 174 parking spaces.
GMD Solutions developed all the projects and construction management of the commercial building where the Bálamo Restaurant is located, which has been designed by the architect Rui Costa, a specialist in luxury establishments with extensive experience in hotels and restaurants.
The Bálamo Restaurant, promoted by Corpfin Capital Retail Parks and Marisquería San Ignacio (which already has a first establishment) will become the nerve center of the modern Ensanche Sur neighborhood in Alcorcón. This establishment will be part of the Ensanche Sur Retail Park, which was developed by the investment fund, and the project management was successfully carried out by GMD Solutions in collaboration with its architectural partner: Arellano Arquitectos.
The retail park includes the 5,000m2 Alcampo Ensanche Sur supermarket, a surface parking lot with covered parking spaces, a McDonald’s, the 174-space underground parking lot, and a shopping area yet to be developed. This was GMD Solutions’ first project with the investment fund Corpfin Capital, which is still our client today.
