The old installation was composed of recessed spotlights and fluorescent downlights of 80W and 2x26W, respectively. The corresponding total installed power was more than 2kW and the annual consumption was about 10,000kWh. These luminaires were replaced by equivalent LED models with an efficacy of over 100lm/W. The newly installed power is less than 800W and saves more than 6,000kWh/year.

Due to their much longer lifetime than fluorescent lamps, this replacement reduces spare parts and maintenance costs.
