The French brand has arrived in Ciudad Real with the opening of a 1.500m2 Decathlon store.

GMD Solutions and its partner, Arrellano Arquitectos, have led the projects and the construction management for the industrial building and the parking lot as well as all the store installations. GMD also worked as a consultant in close relation with Decathlon for the selection of the different suppliers up to the delivery and opening of the store. One important aspect of this project was the store lighting, designed by GMD, that made used of its large experience in order to optimize luminosity and visual comfort within the installation. The outdoors lighting was also designed by GMD, including the parking and the luminous publicity signs.

The AC/heating system, design by GMD Solutions, is made of a rooftop machine (160kW) and an air distribution system optimized to get the best temperature all year long.

Decathlon has set up a new store format for its worlwide expansion process. In these stores, the leader in sports material retailing offers its customers all the brands from Oxylane group with hundreds references.

This project should hopefully be one of many collaborations between GMD Solutions and Decathlon.
